Help for Quotempo, the Mac app that shows your quotas in Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and Google Antigravity in the menu bar.
Contact
Write to us at office@xvision.solutions. Please include your macOS version, the Quotempo version (under “About”) and the agent concerned, and briefly describe what happened.
The easiest way: in Quotempo, click “Support Report…” under “Activity” or in the “Help” menu. The report contains the version, macOS, the status of the agents and the log of the last 7 days; e-mail addresses are masked by default, and you see the content before sending. With “Copy” or “Save…” on the “Activity” page you get the whole log.
Requirements
- a Mac with macOS 26 or later, Apple silicon or Intel
- at least one of these command-line tools, signed in on this Mac: Claude Code (
claude), OpenAI Codex CLI (codex, for example from the ChatGPT app) or Antigravity CLI (agy) - a subscription with the respective provider
Setup
The setup assistant opens on first launch. It shows the status of every tool: “Ready”, “Not installed”, “Installed, not signed in” or “Cannot be checked (offline)”. If a tool or the sign-in is missing, the assistant shows the matching command. “Run in Terminal” opens a visible Terminal window that runs exactly this command, without administrator rights. Then choose “Check again”.
You can start the assistant again at any time under “Settings” with “Restart setup”. Quotempo never changes your ~/.zshrc file.
Frequently asked questions
“Installed, not signed in”
The tool is present but not connected to your account. Start the sign-in in the setup assistant or yourself in Terminal (claude auth login, codex login or agy) and then choose “Check again”.
“Cannot be checked (offline)”
Quotempo could not check the sign-in status, usually because the Mac is offline or the provider does not respond. This does not mean that the sign-in is missing. As soon as the connection is back, choose “Check again”.
Codex does not respond in time after startup
Right after your Mac starts or wakes, Codex sometimes needs longer. Quotempo then waits 20 seconds and automatically tries a second time; the “Activity” page records this. If the error persists, choose “Refresh” a few minutes later.
A quota is missing
Quotempo only shows the time windows that the provider’s tool reports. Some appear only at times, for example a model-specific weekly window in Claude. If a quota that was shown before is missing, the “Activity” page says so. Also check under “Settings” → “Agents” that the agent is shown with “Show in overview”. The provider’s figures always prevail.
Where is the data stored?
History, activity log and the setup scripts are stored in the folder ~/Library/Application Support/Quotempo, the settings in the macOS preferences. Measurements and log entries are removed after 30 days. None of it leaves your Mac; details are in the privacy policy.
How do I update Quotempo?
Download the new version from the Quotempo page, quit Quotempo and replace the app in “Applications”. History and settings are kept.
Uninstalling
- Quit Quotempo (“Quit” in the menu bar icon).
- Move Quotempo from “Applications” to the Bin.
- Delete the folder
~/Library/Application Support/Quotempo. - If present, remove Quotempo in System Settings under “General” → “Login Items”.
The providers’ tools remain installed; remove them according to their instructions.
