The source stays untouched
CloudBackup only reads. Nothing in OneDrive or in the source folder is ever changed, moved or deleted.
CLOUDBACKUP FOR MAC
CloudBackup is a menu bar app for Mac. It backs up your OneDrive accounts or any other folders incrementally to an external drive, verifies every copy and keeps earlier versions. The source is never changed.
Free · no account · no tracking

FEATURES
Every rule in CloudBackup has one goal: you can rely on the copy on your drive.
CloudBackup only reads. Nothing in OneDrive or in the source folder is ever changed, moved or deleted.
Files are first copied to a staging folder and checked with a SHA-256 checksum. Only then do they replace the existing backup.
Replaced files go to the “Versions” folder and are kept for 30, 90 or 365 days, depending on the setting.
If a file disappears from the source, you decide whether it is archived or deleted permanently. This way the backup also protects against accidental deletion.
Daily, weekly, every two weeks or monthly, separately for each account and folder. The dot in the menu bar and notifications show the status.
If a file exists only online, the cloud provider downloads it for the backup. CloudBackup then frees up the space on your Mac again.
REQUIREMENTS
Files are stored on the drive without a proprietary format and can be opened in the Finder even without CloudBackup.
